Online Egyptological Bibliography

The Online Egyptological Bibliography (OEB) holds the largest available collection of references in Egyptological literature. It includes the records and abstracts from Annual Egyptological Bibliography (AEB, 1947-2001), combined with Bibliographie Altägypten (BA, 1822-1946), the Aigyptos database with keywords, and more than 40,000 further items. Coverage is from 1822 to the present. The database is updated continuously, and OEB is kept as up-to-date as possible.

The OEB is published by the Griffith Institute, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Oxford, in partnership with Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and in cooperation with the International Association of Egyptologists.

Like its forerunner the AEB, the OEB is a subscription-based service. There are several categories of annual subscription. IAE members may take out a joint subscription to include the OEB, with different rates for student and full members. Individuals may subscribe directly by credit/debit card, paid online through the University of Oxford website. Multi-terminal and site license subscriptions are available for institutions. All institutions that offer instruction in, or are dedicated to the study of, Egyptology are strongly encouraged to take out the latter type of subscription, which is mostly handled through invoicing. To investigate these possibilities, click on the logo at the right, follow the links at http://oeb.griffith.ox.ac.uk, or contact oebsubscriptions@orinst.ox.ac.uk.

The OEB is run by a small team of editors, subeditors, and volunteers. Queries, corrections, and information about items for inclusion can be sent to oebeditor@orinst.ox.ac.uk or submitted through the "Submit material" page of the website.
